Why Brookshire?
Our kennel name was inspired by our very first baby, Brooke - a lovely Shetland Sheepdog who brought so much joy into our family's life. Losing her suddenly in 2007 was a heartbreaking experience for us all. However, we continue to honor her memory by nurturing the same love and care that she brought into our lives with each and every new litter.
What We Do
Our puppies are raised in a home environment, which has proven to cultivate confident and well-adjusted pups. Our primary objective is to equip them with the necessary skills to adapt to any situation, including new environments and experiences. We recognize the significance of socialization, which is why we ensure ample opportunities for our puppies to interact with adult dogs and visitors alike.
Our Family
Meet Becky and Bob Metzger, a couple who have been proud residents of Charlotte for over 20 years. They share a passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers, traveling, spending time with their children, and great bourbon. The Metzgers are devoted to ensuring the utmost care for their dogs. Their kennel is a true family business, with their three grown children actively involved in its management!
